01 · THE FACTORY THREAD™
Where can AI help a manufacturing plant?
At every stage where work waits. Engineer, plan, source, make, check quality, maintain, deliver and serve: each stage gets AI agents that do the routine work or flag a person, all fed by your drawings and BOMs, and all running inside your plant.

02 · THE PLANT WHEEL™
What is an AI-native ERP for manufacturers?
Nankatai is an ERP that acts instead of only recording. It runs all 17 departments of a plant in four groups, Make, Move, Money and People, with 66 agents and automations on your own server. It goes live in 4–6 weeks, with migration from Tally or Excel.
AI agents that reason over your data, plus automations that run the routine.
NANKATAI
departments in one system, from shop floor and quality to GST and payroll.
NANKATAI
for unlimited users, with every department and an industry pack included.
NANKATAI
Which Nankatai edition fits your plant?
The core departments to move off spreadsheets, with unlimited users.
More departments and agents as your plant grows, with unlimited users.
All 17 departments, all 66 agents and automations, an industry pack and unlimited users.
- Runs on your server
- Works with the network cable unplugged
- Unlimited users
- Hash-chained audit trail

03 · THE DRAWING-TO-DECISION LINE™
How can AI use our CAD, PLM and drawing data?
Most of a product's cost is fixed at the drawing board, so AI should start there. Modelcam reads your drawings, links them to Creo and Windchill, and sends the released BOM straight to costing, purchase and production in Nankatai.
DrawingIQ
Reads assembly and part drawings, including scans and PDFs, and extracts the title block, BOM, materials, revisions and notes.
Modelcam Creo Bridge
Engineers ask in plain words, or pick from a list, and Creo builds or edits the model. AI included in one annual price.
Windchill implementation and upgrades
BOMs, changes and releases in PLM, set up by Modelcam. Upgrades run pit-stop style, starting with a free health check.
04 · HOW WE ENGAGE
How does a Modelcam AI engagement for manufacturers work?
Product plus deployment. You get working products, and Modelcam Forward Deployed Engineers who put them to work on your floor.
- WEEK 1
One-Week AI Assessment
We map where work waits across your departments and engineering, and rank where AI pays back first.
- STEP 2
Pick the products
Nankatai, drawing tools, Creo Bridge or Windchill, in the order your plan says.
- WEEKS 2–6
Deploy on your floor
Forward Deployed Engineers install, migrate data and train your people. Nankatai goes live in 4–6 weeks.
- ONGOING
Run and expand
Add departments, agents and engineering tools as each one proves itself.
Which manufacturers is this for?
Plants that want AI on the work, not another dashboard, and need their data to stay on their premises.
Engineering and auto component plants
Drawing-heavy, change-heavy work where BOMs, revisions and quotes decide the margin.
Process and batch plants
Plastics, castings and similar plants where planning, quality and compliance paperwork slow the floor.
OEMs on Creo and Windchill
Teams that want AI on their CAD and PLM data, from a team with 20 years on PTC Windchill and Creo, and Creo experts in house.
05 · QUESTIONS
Questions about AI for manufacturers
Updated 21 October 2026
What does Modelcam offer manufacturers?
AI across sales, purchase, production, quality, compliance and engineering. That means Nankatai, the AI-native ERP with 66 agents and automations; AI on CAD and PLM data, including Windchill and Creo; and drawing tools that extract BOMs and title blocks. Modelcam Forward Deployed Engineers deploy it on your floor.
What is Nankatai?
Nankatai is an AI-native ERP for manufacturers. It runs 17 departments in one system with 66 agents and automations (39 AI agents and 27 automations), on your own server, for unlimited users.
How is an AI-native ERP different from a traditional ERP?
A traditional ERP is a system of record: it stores what already happened, and people key the data in. An AI-native ERP is a system of action: agents read, draft, check and flag work as it happens, and people approve.
Which departments get AI agents?
All 17: production planning, shop floor, quality, maintenance, design and drawings, sales and orders, purchase, stores and inventory, dispatch and logistics, vendor management, accounts, costing, compliance, management reporting, payroll and HR, customer service and admin.
Does our plant data leave our premises?
No. Nankatai runs on the modelcam AI engine on your premises and works with the network cable unplugged. No outside AI service is involved.
How long does it take to go live?
Nankatai goes live in 4–6 weeks, including migration from Tally or Excel. The exact time depends on your scope and data.
How much does Nankatai cost?
Nankatai has three editions, Starter, Growth and Manufacturing, each with unlimited users for one price. Pricing is shared on request after a short call about your plant. You can also start with one department through Nankatai Compliance.
Can AI read our engineering drawings?
Yes. Modelcam drawing tools read assembly and part drawings, including scans and PDFs, and extract the title block, bill of materials, materials, revisions and notes, ready for costing and purchase.
Does Modelcam work with Creo and Windchill?
Yes. Modelcam has worked on PTC Creo and Windchill for 20 years, two decades of them as a PTC partner. Modelcam Creo Bridge lets engineers ask in plain words and have Creo build or edit the model, on Creo 10 and above. Modelcam also implements and upgrades Windchill, starting with a free health check.
What is the One-Week AI Assessment?
The first step. In one week, Modelcam maps where work waits in your plant, across departments and engineering, and gives you a ranked plan of where AI pays back first.
Who deploys AI in our plant?
Modelcam Forward Deployed Engineers, on your floor. The team has worked in plants for 23 years, building systems for more than 250 companies.
What is the Modelcam Factory Thread™?
Modelcam's model for AI in manufacturing: one AI thread through eight stages of a plant, from Engineer to Service, fed by drawings, BOMs and changes from Creo and Windchill, with Money and People running underneath and the modelcam AI engine inside your plant.
